Teacher's Touch the Future

The school year is winding down for another year.  It seems to me the older my children are, the faster the years go.   I am very fortunate that both of my girls have always enjoyed school.  I truly believe that this is because of the many wonderful teachers they have had in their lives.  They have made such a beautiful and wonderful impact on the young ladies they are becoming.  My oldest daughter Sydney use to keep a running list of the most important thing that her teacher taught her each year.  It is a wonderful tribute to the many special people in their lives.

My girls are now in middle school and high school and it seems to me that they still have such remarkable relationships with their teachers. I am thankful everyday that my girls are allowed to go to schools that are safe, qualified and exceptional due to the people who teach and administer to the school.  However, I do not forget the other important people in our lives that play a huge part in helping raise my girls.  Our lives have been filled with many many coaches, many who volunteer or spend their time away from their own families to spend time with mine.  They have taught them humility along with important skills and many life lessons that they could never learn from a book.  So many things that I could never teach them, like back handsprings to hitting a softball at 65 mph.  There are also the  Sunday School leaders, I learn as much from them as my children do about walking with Jesus.

I as a parent, want to thank you for preparing and inspiring the new generation.  Thank you for taking care of my most precious assets.  Even if your students rarely say it, many of them will carry the gifts you give them for the rest of their lives.  They will not forget you.  I can still remember my teachers and I am pretty old according to my kids.   Please remind your children to show or tell their teachers how much they appreciate them no matter if your child is in preschool or high school.

With May being Teacher Appreciation month, I am showing you some items from my Etsy shop which began from our love for our teachers over the years.  I have had so many requests to make something for that special teacher, coach or volunteer that I have put a little Etsy shop together composed of many of the items that we made to show our appreciation.
